At Aguacate & Co. we focus on providing the finest organic and all-natural ingredients for the appropriate care of one of the body's most significant resources: skin. Often taken for granted, skin is truly one of the more remarkable elements of our daily lives. Skin is the body's largest organ. It acts as the interface with our surroundings; protects our bodies from pathogens; holds together our bones, muscles, and vital organs; regulates body temperature; and allows for the sense of touch. On top of all this, skin is generally one of the first things others may notice about us. Our skin is an extraordinary asset and should receive proper maintenance and attention. With this our mission at Aguacate & Co., we offer a range of premium skin care products made with organic and natural ingredients, formulated to give men and women a simple, elegant way to pursue a wholesome skin care experience.

As a company, we strive to be good citizens within our industry, community, and the environment. To that end, we have developed our range of facial skin care products made with organic and natural ingredients cruelty free, and make every effort in our daily operation to reduce, reuse and recycle materials. And that is also why when you shop with us we give back a portion of all sales towards causes in support of the arts, community, and environment. We are also a proud member of One Percent For the Planet, an alliance of eco-conscious businesses committed to giving back at least 1% of sales to support environmental research.

What's in a name?

Aguacate (ah-gwah-kah-tay) is Spanish for avocado, the green-skinned fruit most commonly associated with the popular Mexican dip, guacamole. Unbeknownst to many, however, is that in addition to being the key ingredient in a delicious dip, the avocado, being a rich source of vitamins A, B, D, E, and potassium, is one of the healthiest and more effective naturally-occurring elements available in the care for skin. Avocado oil penetrates the skin evenly and quickly, moisturizes and replenishes tired skin, reduces the signs of ageing, and actually increases the amount of collagen in your skin giving it a healthier and more vibrant lease on life.

In promoting an organic and natural approach to skin care, the many, healthy benefits of the avocado simply could not be overlooked, which is why most of our products are infused with significant amounts of avocado oil. Nevertheless, when deciding what to name our skin care company, we recognized that neither is the avocado the only ingredient in an effective, natural skin care experience and so we tacked on "& Co." Aguacate & Co., therefore, is meant to represent the storehouse of organic, natural ingredients at work in our products and the fact that none of the entrepreneurial minds behind the company are more important than the products themselves.

We chose "aguacate" over "avocado" just for fun!

History of Aguacate & Co.

During a conversation among good friends, a Mexican skin care enthusiast, a half-Chinese, half-Indian Australian chemist, and an American cynic started talking about the basics of living well. Discussion swirled around healthy lifestyles and gratifying experiences, mixing merriment with moderation, and concluded that seemingly inconsequential choices can make a significant difference in our ultimate well-being as well as the world around us. As individuals, we seek simple, practical solutions to everyday concerns, but often, it seems, all of these small-scale decisions can overwhelm us in the grand scheme of things.

So what does this have to do with skin care? First of all, we each agreed that when we take care of our bodies, we are more prepared to handle everything else. To that end, we also agreed that proper skin care is one important way of caring for our bodies. To feel comfortable in our skin is to have confidence and the leisure to shift our attention to other matters. The more we talked the more we began to appreciate appropriate skin care as a primary building block for balanced living. As we discussed our own preferences around skin care, we came to the realization that very few products truly provided all we expected of them: an effective, safe, and worry-free experience that left us feeling refreshed and invigorated. No harmful or needless chemicals. No reason to worry is this really the best for my skin? Nothing but the best organic, naturally-derived ingredients.

As they say, "necessity is the mother of invention." After careful thought, we recognized the opportunity to simplify our own lives by developing our own luxurious skin care line made with the finest organic and natural ingredients. And so Aguacate & Co. was born. As the architects of our own skin care line, we can be certain about the quality of our products, secure that the ingredients are as safe and effective as possible, and comfortable in the knowledge that we have one less thing to worry about so we can move on to other important matters as we go about our daily lives. We are pleased to share with others the opportunity to encounter a wholesome skin care experience in the pursuit of living well.

The Aguacate Ritual

Our approach to skin care is embodied by the Aguacate & Co. rebalancing ritual, an uncomplicated five-step process that nurtures skin's essential properties, ensuring a healthy, radiant complexion. The full complement of our products are specially formulated for dry, normal, and oily skin types, providing men and women of all skin types and ages a slate of suitable choices for great skin care at each step of the rebalancing ritual.

Because our products have been developed for effectiveness and elegance, the five-step rebalancing ritual is less a routine than a restorative, daily experience. For optimal results we encourage you to follow all five steps in the rebalancing ritual.

Step 1 : Cleanse

Purpose: Cleansing is an essential part of any skin care regimen. Cleansers help to remove dirt, makeup, oil, and surface impurities, leaving your skin feeling smooth, not oily.

Frequency: We recommend that you cleanse your skin twice a day, in the morning and especially at night.

Directions: Lather in wet hands and apply to moistened face, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Gently massage into skin with upward circular motions. Rinse off with warm water.

Step 2 : Exfoliate

Purpose: After cleansing your skin, exfoliation is the next step. Exfoliation aids in the removal of dead surface skin cells that can contribute to a dull and lifeless appearance. As these dead surface cells are removed, younger, fresher cells are exposed giving your skin a more radiant, wholesome quality.

Frequency: We recommend that you exfoliate once every three days.

Directions: Lather in wet hands and apply to moistened face, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Gently massage in upward circular motions. Rinse off with warm water.

Step 3 : Tone

Purpose: Once you have finished cleansing and exfoliating, the next step is to tone. Toners remove residual amounts of dirt, makeup, oil, and other impurities that may have been missed during cleansing or exfoliating, leaving your skin feeling clean and refreshed. Toners also restore your skin to its normal pH and prepare it for moisturizing.

Frequency: We recommend that you tone twice a day, morning and night, after cleansing/exfoliating or as often as needed.

Directions: Close eyes and spray evenly onto face, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Gently wipe over sprayed area with a pad or cotton ball.

Step 4 : Moisturize

Purpose: Moisturizing provides a protective barrier for your skin against the natural elements and is essential to proper skin care. Moisturizers rehydrate your skin leaving it smooth, soft and supple, stimulating your skin’s fitness and contributing to a healthy, more vibrant appearance.

Frequency: We recommend that you moisturize at least twice a day, morning and night, or as often as needed.

Directions: Apply evenly to face and neck in upward motions, avoiding direct contact with eyes.

Step 5 : Replenish

Purpose: While we sleep our skin is most active in repairing damage incurred from our daily exposure to harsh external elements. During this restful period, it is critical that we provide our skin with abundant amounts of moisture, nutrients and antioxidants to maximize this healing process. By incorporating this replenishing step in your personal care program you can assist your skin in this important, restorative process.

Frequency: We recommend that you replenish your skin at least once every three nights.

Directions: Apply evenly to a clean face and neck in upward motions, avoiding direct contact with eyes.

Our Products

At Aguacate & Co. we strive to make proper skin care an uncomplicated proposition. Care for your skin should be a relaxing and exquisite experience, which is why all of our skin care products are carefully crafted with the highest quality, certified organic and natural ingredients to produce the essentials for a clean and complete skin care regimen. In addition, the full complement of our products, ranging from cleansers to exfoliators, toners to moisturizers, are specially formulated for dry, normal, and oily skin types making them suitable for men and women of all skin types and ages.

We use only premium organic and all natural ingredients to ensure the healthiest, safest, and worry-free skin care treatment possible. For this reason, our skin care products are designed hypo-allergenic, contain only naturally-derived preservatives and are free of any and all parabens, silicones, sulfates, and synthetic dyes. Additionally, all of our skin care products, including those containing essential oils, are proven safe for pregnant women. As with any product, we encourage everyone to read the ingredients before use in order to avoid any possible allergic reaction to a particular ingredient.

We do not and will never test any of our products on animals.

Packaging & Care

At Aguacate & Co. we package our skin care products in recyclable plastic bottles, taking full advantage of innovations in airless technology to minimize contamination from the external environment for increased effectiveness and a lengthier shelf life. When properly stored at room temperature (68 – 77 degrees F; 20 – 25 degrees C) all Aguacate & Co. skin care products should enjoy a shelf life of 24 to 30 months.

Additionally, we have opted to minimize superfluous packaging for our products in order to reduce unnecessary waste and limit impact on the environment. We encourage our customers to recycle product containers upon completed use.
